This week, I was invited by "Association of Avian Health Professionals" to discuss about the food safety risks and its implication on business. The purpose of the meeting was to sensitize the professionals about huge potential of Indian poultry industry and their role in ensuring food safety in poultry  products.

Poultry businesses are vital for rural economy in India and for consumers requirements.

  India offers huge opportunity.

 Demand for poultry products are also increasing.


 Understanding Poultry Chain Management is vital.

Supply Chain of Poultry has many dimensions. It is important to understand interplay with allied activities to ensure food safety.

Feed, breed and production system needs careful understand and management to minimize food safety risk.
 
Animal health professionals and their knowledge base is vital to enure food safety and security.


 Avian health professional must enure critical analysis of livestock production system at farm level.
