Is it wise to Manage Food Inflation in the non-food style?

Relation between inflation and economic growth.

As you know why Central Banks are desperate to control inflation. The current approach is restrict cash flow. Is this the only approach to control inflation? Can we handle food inflation in the same manner, the way we handle non-food inflation?

 Approaches and methods may differ...!!! 

What should be the correct approach to control food inflation? 
To cut demand or to improve supply.
