120+ Countries and 80000+ Readers

With the entry of St. Kitts and Nevis, the number of countries documented have crossed 120. It is absolutely unimaginable feeling that sitting in India, through by my laptop via internet, I am able to communicate my views and thoughts to more than 80,000 people in more than 120 countries.   I was following every country, its location on the world map and also about its economy, socio-political system and related aspects.  This blog has helped me in making many friends from many countries . very often we communicate to each other with such frankness as if we are friends from many years.  It is so enriching experience that I will not be able to express the same.  Frequent Readers from the following Countries visit my blog.  The countries which I was able to track and document are as follows: 1.                Antigua and Barbuda 2.      ...

Why Agriculture Policies are meaningless for farmers? By:  Vijay Sardana Agriculture Policies world-over encourage exploitation: Pick-up any agriculture policy and read it, it says we need agriculture development to ensure food security, it never says we want farmers to become wealthy and prosperous. When we start any policy work with a biased objective, that is to exploit the producer and supplier for the benefit  of consumer and user, can such policies deliver justice and encourage the producer and suppliers to do their best and deliver their best. I don't think so. Recently, I was at  John F. Kennedy International Airport while going for a meeting of New Vision for Agriculture to World Economic Forum. Like every nation, America also glorifies some of their great leaders.
